Librado Wright has worked in sales for many years, and is now the general manager of a call center in Kingston Jamaica. He gained experience in sales straight out of Temple University, Philadelphia, with a communications degree minoring in marketing. The skills he learnt in his studies have proved useful in both careers he pursued; sports journalism and sales. Written and spoken communication are versatile skills that can be applied to most jobs, and his career is proof of this.
Landing his dream job out of college, he began in journalism covering the NBA for a website based in New York. At the same time, he had gained his first sales job working with a company which sold chairs. Both were jobs which he enjoyed, and which utilized the communications skills he gained from his degree. He was following his passion and earning money, but eventually he became too busy. Journalism was dropped in favor of sales, and he never looked back, although he still loves sports and writing.
